I started Walkies with Gemma in January 2020 as I have a passion for animals and wanted to make a career out of it.
I have volunteered in the rehoming kennels at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in Brands Hatch, Kent where I received training in dogs' body language, calming techniques, basic training and enrichment. I also fostered cats for Bow Lodge Cat Rescue and my own cats are foster fails.
I don't take the dogs to the same place more than two or three times a week and aim to make my walks as enriching as possible for the dogs.
